At the heart of this formulation is Bioyouth™ EGT, a patented antioxidant complex obtained through multi-fermentation of two types of medicinal mushrooms. This process produces Ergothioneine (EGT) and growth factors. EGT is one of the few antioxidants that can be absorbed and transported directly into the mitochondria. There, it enhances ATP production (the essential source of cellular energy), while scavenging harmful free radicals and protecting cells from UVA damage. By slowing the onset of cellular senescence (where cells are unable to divide contributing to inflammation and ageing), EGT helps maintain a youthful, energised complexion while boosting skin density and improving skin texture.
Panax Ginseng is a potent adaptogen which we intentionally sourced from New Zealand as it contains up to 100% more active ginsenosides than standard ginseng. This supports cellular energy by stimulating ATP levels and natural hyaluronic acid synthesis to plump and revive fatigued skin.
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
Oligopeptide-24, a bioactive peptide designed to mimic natural growth factors, works by signalling fibroblasts to increase collagen density and elastin production for stronger, smoother skin.
Carnosine, a peptide that helps the prevention of new lines and wrinkles by protecting structural proteins from glycation-related damage.
Resveratrol, a unique polyphenol extracted from Japanese Knotweed, mitigates UV-induced DNA damage and modulates cellular signalling pathways involved in ageing to protect dermal structure. It is dense with micronutrients, helping to minimise redness and has significant benefits on the visible effects of premature ageing through its strong ability to prevent cell damage.
Black Tree Fern (Cyathea Medullaris), endemic to New Zealand, forms a natural 3D biopolymer film providing a visible tightening and lifting effect, while its polysaccharides and phenolic compounds help stabilise the skin’s extracellular matrix.
MICROBIOME
Bifidobacterium Lysate, a fermented probiotic extract that helps to restore lipid balance, reduces trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), and supports microbial diversity.
Wild-sourced active marine algae, including New Zealand Red Algae and our own Bio-Fermented Tasmanian Sea Kelp from Australia, deliver trace minerals to support barrier strength and resilience. With glycans and polysaccharides similar to hyaluronic acid, the marine algae attract and retains moisture.
